i drift in, i drift out, thinking and wondering about the what ifs. surely, you must know, as i'm still sitting here...

Chasing Teardrops

Loving love, as it once
Was with you, as I sit
Chasing teardrops
There is nothing that
Compares to the love
From you
You were my sun and
The reason why the
Rays shined so bright
Even now, my love for
You, roars like the sound
Of thunder
Yet, you have turned
A death ear
Beauty fades in love....
As I sift through the
Memories of you
I keep going back to
Retrieve them because
One day that will fade, too
I remember you holding me
Closely, wrapped in the
Lightness of your kiss
At the peak of autumn
Winds, as I sit chasing
Teardrops
We were lovers who were
In love
But now we no longer exist
Love changes, life changes
Beauty fades in love....
It's funny how love
Volunteers you to feel, to
Fall, to laugh, to smile, to
Change, to hate, to care, to
Ache, to cry, to want, to
Need, or to just be
Yet, love still remains just
That...love
I never knew exactly what
To say or do that would
Take your breath away, but,
I knew that I loved you to
The fullest
You were my lifeline, my
Heart, my reason, my forever
Even after
Love volunteered me to love
You unconditionally
Years ago, I could never
Imagine life without you...I
Now know, as I sit chasing
Teardrops
